Covid-19
Covid-19 is a respiratory infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. For most people, the disease causes mild to moderate symptoms similar to a cold or flu, but some can become seriously ill. After the pandemic, the virus still circulates and causes seasonal outbreaks. Vaccination has significantly reduced the risk of severe illness.
Symptoms can vary greatly from person to person, and some experience long-term ailments after infection, known as βlong covid.β

- Cough, sore throat, and runny nose
- Fever and chills

Treatment
Most people with covid-19 can be treated at home with rest, plenty of fluids, and fever-reducing medications. For people in risk groups, antiviral medications are available that can reduce the risk of severe illness if given early.
