Back
Back pain is the most common musculoskeletal disorder in Norway, affecting up to 80 percent of the population during their lifetime. Pain can occur in the upper back, middle back, or lower back (lumbar spine), and causes range from muscle tension to disc herniation. Most back problems are benign and improve over time, but active treatment with the right exercises can speed up recovery.
It is important to know that back pain is rarely caused by serious illness, and that movement and activity are more important than rest for most back problems.
