The company was the first to deliver video consultations via smartphone in Norway. In recent years, the company has experienced strong growth in both Norway and Denmark. Now, it is Sweden’s turn.
“The launch in Sweden is an important milestone for us, and every part of the organization has worked incredibly hard to reach this goal,” says CEO Camilla Kluge Foss. The company is now gaining an even broader foothold in the Nordic market.
“Getting help from a doctor or psychologist via a mobile phone is becoming increasingly common, and in Sweden, video-based doctor consultations are an established part of public healthcare. Strengthening our position in the Nordic region has always been part of our strategy,” she says.
She notes that while each country is naturally different and possesses its own unique healthcare and social care systems, the expansion process has demonstrated one key point.
“Our digital model is very simple and scalable. We build our own technology, and the solution can easily be adapted for other markets and countries. Since we are entirely digital, we do not need to invest significant time and capital into finding the best physical locations to establish ourselves. Consequently, we can establish ourselves quickly,” she explains.
Partnership with Avonova
Eyr has already initiated a launch partnership with the occupational health company Avonova Solutions Assist, which will provide Eyr to its corporate clients in the Swedish market.
“We are now proud to offer Eyr to our Assist clients and their households. Eyr is a video-based health service focused on quality, accessibility, user-friendliness, and data security. It is an outstanding product that helps our clients quickly and easily when they need to see a doctor or psychologist via video consultation,” says Helena Larsson Berggren, Head of Operations at Avonova Assist Sweden.
Strong Investors
Eyr is a challenger in a highly competitive Swedish market. And they have strong Swedish investors backing them as they now establish themselves in Sweden. Swedish entrepreneur Fredrik Österberg, the man behind Evolution Gaming, and the Stena family have invested in the company.
